Safe use

Please read the following safety information before using Iris.

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury, always follow these precautions.

Iris is designed for drying human hair only.

Keep the appliance away from baths, showers, sinks and other sources of water.

Always unplug the appliance after use, particularly when used in a bathroom.

Never operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet surface.

Do not leave the appliance unattended while switched on.

Children should only use Iris under adult supervision. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities without appropriate supervision.

Never block the air inlet or air outlet during operation.

Keep hair, loose clothing and other objects clear of the air inlet.

The air outlet becomes hot during use. Avoid touching it until the appliance has cooled.

If the power cord becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact Athena Air Support.

Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance during storage.

Do not attempt to disassemble, modify or repair the appliance yourself.

Use only genuine Athena Air accessories designed for Iris.

Magnetic styling attachments should be kept away from pacemakers, implanted medical devices, magnetic storage media and credit cards.

If Iris has been dropped, damaged or exposed to water, discontinue use and contact Athena Air Support.

Clean the air inlet filter regularly to maintain safe and efficient performance.

Getting started

Get to know the display, controls and styling attachments before your first use.

Floating Display™

Displays the current outlet temperature and selected airflow level.

Power Switch

Slide up to turn Iris on. Slide down to switch the appliance off.

Temperature Button

Press to cycle through the available temperature settings.

Airflow Button

Press to select your preferred airflow speed.

One Touch Cooling

Press and hold the Temperature Button to activate cool air. Release the button to return to the previous temperature setting.

Magnetic Styling Attachments

Simply align the attachment with the front of Iris. The magnetic mounting system will automatically secure it in place.

Caring for your Iris

Hot surface

The air outlet becomes hot during normal operation.

  • Do not touch the air outlet while Iris is operating.
  • Allow the appliance to cool before changing attachments.
  • Keep the air outlet away from skin and other heat-sensitive surfaces.
  • Never cover the air outlet while the appliance is switched on.

Weekly maintenance

Cleaning the air filter

Always switch Iris off and unplug it before cleaning.

Allow the appliance to cool completely before removing the filter cover.

Rotate the outer filter cover to the unlock position.

Slide the filter cover downward to remove it.

Remove any dust or lint using a soft, dry brush or a slightly damp cloth.

Do not rinse the filter directly under running water.

Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling.

Align the filter cover with the guide marks and rotate it to the locked position.

Cleaning the exterior

Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners or polishing products.

Never immerse Iris in water.

Clean the filter once every week to maintain optimal airflow and performance.

Peace of mind

Two-year limited warranty

Your Iris hair dryer is covered by a two-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal domestic conditions.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Damage caused by failure to follow this Owner’s Guide
  • Normal cosmetic wear and tear
